Job Description:
Key Responsibilities. • Significantly contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the Service Delivery Plan, Transition to Service Plan or Through Life Support Plan depending on the platform or equipment’s status in the CADMID cycle. • Manage the liaison with and connect to stakeholders including customers, suppliers and internal teams on specific issues and implement solutions which maximise platform availability for minimum through-life periods. • Co-ordinate the drafting, tender process and assessment of tenders, and monitor the performance of suppliers in terms of the quality, timeliness and reliability of goods and/or services to ensure agreed contractual obligations are met. • Coordinate the implementation of change to requirements in response to cost and time pressures to ensure delivery to the customer meets expectations. • Manage investigations where the required KPIs are not being achieved to the required quality, standard or timescales, and help to identify the issues and take appropriate action. • Manage resources, monitoring actual spend and, in conjunction with appropriate colleagues, update forecasts accordingly to ensure the integrated support meets customer requirements fully within the agreed budget. • Manage agreed governance arrangements for the delivery of the service, aligned with best practice and KPI’s. • Responsible for taking appropriate interest in all aspects of inventory and supply chain management for applicable platforms or equipment and collaborating with Supply Chain colleagues. • Proactively balance supply and demand with end user customers to design and deliver a stable deliverable programme of work as part of the CASP. • Contribute to the wider management team developing optimal courses of action, balancing risk and value for money in the development of Business Cases and Investment Appraisals. • Conduct regular rolling reviews of the management team’s and the equipment’s capability performances to proactively identify and manage dependencies between projects and their funding/resource requirements.
Purpose of the Role:
To manage key activities as part of a team contributing to Operational Management (OM) of platforms and equipment used by customers such as DE&S, the armed forces and equipment manufacturers. The role will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure service delivery to customers via an integrated and co-ordinated cross-functional effort through life.
Essential Experience:
- Level 2

- Experience working in a delivery environment at an operational level within one of the Operational Management or associated disciplines (Project / Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Total Through Life Support, Commercial) within a large organisation.

- Level 3

- As for Level 2 plus with demonstrable experience of managing commercial relationships, delivery arrangements and budgets including significant involvement in approval processes to provide the outcomes required.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience of working with UK Armed Forces.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £33-40k for L2 (dependent upon demonstrable experience) £40-50k for L3 (dependent upon demonstrable experience) per annum
